Moving the Blog

So now that I have been reading for upwards of 16-20 hours straight on blogs, marketing, design etc. I have also been creating the new and improved version of my blog. In the next few days this site will bounce everyone to the new page. I have also discovered the viral community of Twitter! Amazing! Viral can be bad or good and in this case it is good. I have learned more about internet marketing in the last few days than I have in a long time. So you may see less of my posts here in the next few days but my tweets and tweet reading will be up so you can find me there. The link is on the right====>

Thoughts of going PRO

So I am starting to get the gist of this after I first set up my blog almost 4 yrs ago. I looked at my profile on Blogger and it says that I first signed up for a page in Jun '05. Boy was I left in the dust. I guess this Internet thing isn't the "fad" I thought it was. All the missed opportunities to pass on my knowledge to the needy is really hitting home. So... no time like the present to catch up with the rest of the world. Perusing the other top blogs out there has opened my eyes up to so many possibilities its ridiculous. What should I focus my musings around? That is something that will have to play itself out. My attention span is pretty short anyway so that actually could help me in the long run. So thank you for checking in and please come back soon as it will get better as I get accustomed to opening up my mind to the world.

Next BIG toy I want.

So I found the next dream toy I want. Its called the Gigapan Epic System. Basically its a robotically controled camera station that takes a series of high resolution images and stitches them together in a monstrous panorama that you can pan and zoom around in to amazing detail. It utilizes smaller point and shoot cameras to do this with amazing results. You need to zoom in as much as possible to create the best quality images for the best results when navigating the panorama.

Here are a few of my favorites panoramas:

Trunk Bay, US Virgin Islands
Manhattan Beach pier, North side, View South Dec 29, 2008
Manhattan Beach Pier
Fish Pond near Anaeho'omalu Beach, Big Island, Hawaii

Looks like a simple process to do freehand until you try to stitch all of those photos in Photoshop and it crashes. Ouch. Have to give it a shot though.

Todays rants

So this is the first online rant of mine. Normally I have been putting my crap to read up on Facebook but I am gradually weaning myself from that stragnely addicting site. I readily admit that I was one of the first of my friends to jump on the bandwagon and I have fallen prey to every lemming like trend that has befallen the average FB user. I have even been hit by a FB virus. WTF!. So this is where I will put up my daily thoughts from now on. You may not be entertained all the time but I will do my best to try. Just try not to take me seriously unless of course that is my intention. I will of course let you know when that is. Thanks for reading today!
